SUNDAY SNAPSHOT (GATHER.GROW.GIVE.GO) -1

The FIRST FOLLOWERS OF JESUS- took HIS BRAND and HIS LABELS soooooo seriously… that they literally transformed their day and age! (Matter of fact…) If you were to go to ROME today… (The Birthplace of Early Christianity!) you would see/find CROSSES… just about ANYWHERE and EVERYWHERE you look! (But…) Being a JESUS FOLLOWER back then was ANYTHING but EASY… IT CAME WITH A HEFTY PRICE! (And if I’m being honest with you all right now…) The PRICE those Early Followers PAID… I’m not completely convinced… that WE (CHRISTIANS) TODAY really Truly/Genuinely Understand it… (Or…) Might Be Willing To PAY Ourselves!? Consider joining us This Week at COC as we look a little closer at THAT PRICE and then share with you HOW-WE (COC) are trying to implement that type of VISION and SACRIFICE into WHAT WE DO here at COC! It’s gonna be a Great Week so Don’t Miss It!

Sunday Snapshot… (1) GATHER.GROW.GIVE.GO

Matthew 5:13-14a...You are the SALT of the earth. You are the LIGHT of the world...

COC is a place where we GATHER...(Hebrews 10:24-25) Think of ways to encourage one another to outbursts of love and good deeds. And let us not neglect our meeting together, as some people do, but encourage and warn each other, especially now that the day of his coming back again is drawing near.

COC is a place where we GROW...We accomplish that through PRAYER (Philippians 4:6-7) and TEACHING (Hebrews 4:12)

COC is a place where we GIVE...We believe when it comes to our GIVING (Time/Talents/Treasures) that IT’S NOT WHAT GOD WANTS "FROM" YOU… IT’S WHAT HE WANTS "FOR" YOU!

COC is a place where we GO...We believe that God has not SUGGESTED we GO- but He has COMMANDED that we GO! (Matthew 28:18-20 / Acts 1:8)

Are you “BOTHERED” that PEOPLE AROUND YOU are LOST and WITHOUT CHRIST?(If you are...) Then remember that YOU have been CALLED to be SALT and LIGHT to them!

SUNDAY SNAPSHOT (DANIEL - 5)

DANIEL was a man who was FORCED to live in a very fast-changing and godless society!

He was FORCED to Face some Realistic Fears about the Future… he was also CONCERNED about his Safety on numerous occasions… and He was often DISCOURAGED about a World that seemed to be Falling Apart all around him! (And don’t ALL of those Realities sound eerily familiar to the World We Live In Today!?) There just seems to be a lot of Confusion / Heartbreak / Fear / Uncertainty… that is surrounding US (Christians) each/every day in the World we live in for sure! Which can often leave us WONDERING at times… IF GOD IS STILL IN CONTROL!? (However…) Through a tremendous amount of HOPE / HUMILITY / WISDOM… (DANIEL…) Who was a man that lived thousands of years ago in a world very similar to ours… demonstrated to US TODAY some extremely valuable lessons in HOW we can not only SURVIVE… but also learn how to THRIVE in our surroundings! So we’ve started here at COC – talking about some of DANIEL’S Story and some of the Incredible Attributes he demonstrated – with the attempt of learning HOW to Apply them to our lives… especially when it seems sometimes like we’re LIVING AMONG LIONS! Sunday Snapshot… (5) WISDOM… The Power Of Perspective!

One of the Telling Marks of SPIRITUAL IMMATURITY… is a LACK OF PERSPECTIVE!

Daniel’s WISDOM (Power of Perspective) was ROOTED in One Thing Alone… HIS FEAR OF THE LORD!

Proverbs 1:7… The FEAR OF THE LORD is the Beginning of Knowledge - but FOOLS Despise Wisdom and Instruction!

You need to be WISE ENOUGH to KNOW if WHAT you’re STANDING FOR is BIBLICAL or just PERSONAL OPINION!

EXTRA-BIBLICAL and LEGALISTIC RULES are always BASED "ON" The Bible… they’re just not FOUND "IN" The Bible!

God didn't care WHAT path Daniel chose... He only cared about HOW Daniel walked it! (OBEDIENCE is the key!)
