One of the Greatest Lessons you could ever Teach your Child is... POSITIONAL AUTHORITY!

-HONORING those in Positions of Authority!

Proverbs 1:7... The FEAR OF THE LORD is the BEGINNING of KNOWLEDGE... but Fools Despise Wisdom and Instruction! -- Fearing God is not the END... it's the BEGINNING!

Proverbs 1:7 indicates that... REAL UNDERSTANDING comes from FEARING THE CONSEQUENCES!

CHANCES are a CONFUSING WAY to GROW a CHILD! It teaches them later on in life to be GAMBLERS with GOD'S AUTHORITY!

One of the first steps in teaching your kids HONOR is to ELMINATE "PART-TIME" OBEDIENCE and ENFORE "FIRST-TIME" OBEDIENCE!

Teaching your kids about Positional Authority and Honor starts with YOU Mom and Dad... DO YOU "FEAR THE LORD" YOURSELF? (Proverbs 1:7)

Sunday Snapshot… (Wk2) THREE ROLES OF PARENTING

DISCIPLINE is what you do FOR your Child so they will be PREPARED for life when you're NO LONGER IN THE ROOM! PUNISHMENT is what you do TO your Child to SATISFY your FRUSTRATION! (THERE’S A BIG DIFFERENCE!)

First Role of Parenting... GROUNDSKEEPER (Proverbs 29:15)

-DEFINE what your Child CAN/CANNOT do! (And...)

-Don't mistake PRECEDENCE (Biblical) with PREFERENCE (Personal)

Second Role of Parenting... REFEREE (Proverbs 13:24)

-ENFORCE the RULES/BOUNDARIES!

-If they’ve 'Broken A Rule' - THROW THE FLAG and ENFORCE THE PENALTY!

Never Forget... You can't be your Child's Friend because you weren't CALLED TO BE! You're their PARENT! If you're kids don't HATE you at least once in their life... you're not doing your job!

Never Forget... BIG PENALITES need to be reserved for ATTITUDE not for ACTIONS! The most important PENALITIES to call are PENALITES of the HEART!

Third Role of Parenting... COACH (Proverbs 22:6)

-Consistent/Continual TEACHING/TRAINING your Child the RULES/BOUNDARIES!

-Effective COACHING that follows DISCIPLINE doesn't DWELL ON THE MOMENT... it USES THE MOMENT as a TEACHING OPPORTUNITY!
