SUNDAY SNAPSHOT (When Gracie Met Truthie)

CELEBRATORS… Jesus calls His Followers to LOVE the way He LOVED! But as recorded in the Gospels… there always seemed to be a TENSION surrounding the way He LOVED! It was often Messy… Inconsistent… Unfair and Confusing! At times… Jesus was Harsh – and at times… He was Forgiving! At times… He Pointed Out Sin - and at other times… He seemed to almost Ignore It Altogether! Our greatest temptation comes when we try to resolve the TENSION created around Jesus’ Love Towards Others! And if we try and do that… we’ve gotta know that we lose something important… something essential! The challenge for Followers of Jesus is to LOVE in the midst of the Messy… Inconsistent… Unfair and Confusing -- the same way that JESUS did… with the perfect balance of GRACE… AND… TRUTH! If we minimize TRUTH… the World sees no NEED for Salvation!

TRUTH HATES SIN… GRACE LOVES SINNERS… Those who are FULL of GRACE AND TRUTH… DO BOTH well! Just Like Jesus Did! (A Perfect BALANCE!)

CELEBRATORS…

FAMILY… We all have one… and many of us want a better one! While some of us loved our 'growing up' years… others of us couldn't wait to move out and start fresh!
 Either way… there’s something inside us all that would love to have THE PERFECT CIRCUS… when it comes to our FAMILY! The problem is… there’s REAL… then there’s IDEAL… then there’s a BIG GAP IN BETWEEN! A TENSION that we all must come to terms with and push through if we ever want to keep moving towards the STANDARD that Jesus gave to us which defines A PERFECT CIRCUS! I hope you’ll do whatever it takes to continue joining us for this Series… MY FAMILY CIRCUS! We’ll be continually discovering what Jesus thinks is the IDEAL WAY to survive a FAMILY full of Lions… Clowns… and Bearded-Ladies!
