If we were to take a minute and compare our UNFILTERED Lives to a World that always seems to be CROPPED and EDITED… where EVERYTHING seems or appears to be PERFECT… it can often leave us with thoughts of MISERY… and FRUSTRATION… and CONFUSION! There just seems to be this ongoing STRUGGLE today to KNOW or to FIND OUT… WHO WE REALLY ARE… in the WORLD… and then to try and balance THAT… without compromising WHO WE ARE… in CHRIST! So what I’ve been hoping and praying for in this Series… #DeathToSelfie… is that EACH OF US can genuinely discover… that in finding our REAL IDENTITY… IN CHRIST… we can actually SAVE OURSELF from the Greatest Obstacle that appears to be standing in our way… YOU! HOW do we RECOVER our FUTURE… when we've TRADED IT AWAY for something so FUTILE!?
ESAU got REALLY GOOD at KILLING HIS DINNER… but NEVER GOT GOOD at CONTROLLING HIS APPETITE! (IMPULSIVITY is very… very… DANGEROUS!)
CAUTION #1… Beware of mistaking GROWTH for MATURITY!
-Don't just GROW in your SKILLS… GROW in your CHARACTER too!
-Be very careful of WHO/WHAT you ASK FOR… when you are in a Susceptible State of Mind! (Wrong People = Wrong Choices… EVERY TIME!)
CAUTION #2… Beware of UNSATISFIED APPETITES that become EXAGGERATED EMOTIONS!
-A "BOWL OF BEANS” for a BIRTHRIGHT… is a BAD TRADE!
CAUTION #3… Beware of the temptation to give up what you want MOST… for what you want NOW!
WALK… AWAY… FROM… THE… BOWL!! (And then…) COME HOME… and find GRACE and FORGIVENESS from your FATHER!
GRACE… MERCY… GOD… JESUS… Will always RUN OUT to meet YOU!
