SUNDAY SNAPSHOT (MOUNTAIN MOVING PRAYERS - 2)
PRAYER is one of the most important things a Christian can do! It’s a TIME in which you are Communicating with God and it should be taken very seriously in each of our lives! (And…) While there is deep theological meaning in PRAYER - it doesn’t have to be something that is Complicated and Difficult! It’s something Anyone can do - Anywhere at AnyTIME! (And when you really think about it…) It’s pretty much impossible to really Know Someone if You Don’t Spend Time With Them! (And that’s exactly WHAT Prayer is…) An Opportunity to SPEND TIME WITH GOD! So for us to really understand the Heart of God… WE NEED TO PRAY!
Our desire here at COC is to assist your Relationship with God anyway we can – so we’re gonna spend a Couple Weeks to start the New Year by sharing with you the VALUE and IMPORTANCE of PRAYER in a series we’re calling… “MOUNTAIN MOVING PRAYERS!” It’s definitely a series that is worth your TIME - so please consider joining us this Last Weekhere at COC as we not only share the Value/Importance of PRAYER – but also the POWER in your PRAYERS!
Sunday Snapshot… (2) TOO BUSY NOT TO PRAY
Philippians 4:6-7… Do not be ANXIOUS about ANYTHING… but in EVERYTHING - by PRAYER and PETITION… with Thanksgiving… PRESENT YOUR REQUESTS TO GOD. And the Peace of God - which transcends all understanding - will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
FEAR will cause you to sit around and make up scenarios that COULD happen...
FAITH will cause you to fully engage in things that SHOULD happen!
We should Pray BIG… Ask BIG… and Believe BIG… (Because…) OUR GOD IS BIG!
FAITH comes from LOOKING AT GOD… and NOT AT YOUR MOUNTAIN!
When Your MOUNTAIN doesn't seem to be MOVING… that may mean that GOD WANTS YOU TO GO THROUGH IT!
You’ve got to begin SHIFTING YOUR FOCUSfrom the SIZE of the MOUNTAIN - to the SUFFICIENCY of the MOUNTAIN-MOVER!
