CELEBRATORS… Jesus calls His Followers to LOVE the way He LOVED! But as recorded in the Gospels… there always seemed to be a TENSION surrounding the way He LOVED! It was often Messy… Inconsistent… Unfair and Confusing! At times… Jesus was Harsh – and at times… He was Forgiving! At times… He Pointed Out Sin - and at other times… He seemed to almost Ignore It Altogether! Our greatest temptation comes when we try to resolve the TENSION created around Jesus’ Love Towards Others! And if we try and do that… we’ve gotta know that we lose something important… something essential! The challenge for Followers of Jesus is to LOVE in the midst of the Messy… Inconsistent… Unfair and Confusing -- the same way that JESUS did… with the perfect balance of GRACE… AND… TRUTH!
