There’s something inside of everyone that wants to find HAPPINESS! It seems like everybody is on a HAPPINESS Quest of some sort! (And for many…) HAPPINESS is measured in MOMENTS and/or EXPERIENCES… which then in turn can often be ELUSIVE and almost UNTAINABLE! What about YOU? What makes YOU HAPPY? Don’t Miss the remaining 5 Weeks here at COC… as we continue discovering together WHAT (REALLY) MAKES YOU HAPPY?
Sunday Snapshot… (Wk2) PLAN FOR IT (Mat Balgaard)
HAPPINESS and UNHAPPINESS are both OUTCOMES that TAKE TIME! Just like Farming… it takes TIME… SOWING and REAPING for BOTH! (Which one would you rather have?)
MATTHEW 5:3-10…
1. POOR IN SPIRIT… Those who embrace their Daily Dependence on God for all they NEED regardless of what they HAVE!
2. MOURNERS… Those who embrace DEATH - knowing that the FEAR of DYING can rob them from the JOY of LIVING!
3. MEEK… Those who are comfortable with WHO they are IN CHRIST! (MEEKNESS is not a WEAKNESS!)
4. HUNGER and THIRST for RIGHTEOUSNESS… Those who know the RIGHT thing to do and have found the COURAGE to do it! (DISCIPLINE!)
5. MERCIFUL… Those who are the RELATIONALLY GENEROUS! (Doing unto others as they would have done unto them!)
6. PURE IN HEART… Those who pursue MORAL or ETHICAL PURITY!
7. PEACEMAKERS… Those who are RECONCILERS are the opposite of TROUBLEMAKERS!
8. PERSECUTED… Those who know they are going to SUFFER in this life for doing RIGHT and for doing WRONG! (But…) They know they can still be HAPPY when they SUFFER for doing what’s RIGHT because at the end of the day they can still have PEACE with Themselves and with God!
