We all love and can’t even help sometimes… offering little nuggets of Advice… Support… or Sympathy to others who may be struggling in life! (They often come in handy when we want people to feel better about their lives or current struggles!) But… WHAT IF the guidance we’re Giving or Receiving just isn’t true? WHAT IF… GOD NEVER SAID THAT? So in response to that… we’re starting a New Series this week at COC that tackles some apparently common CULTURAL MYTHS about God that can be very misleading and confusing! And they actually can keep others from a deeper relationship with Jesus as opposed to drawing them nearer to Him! Do whatever it takes to join us these next few weeks for this awesome New Series… GOD NEVER SAID THAT!
Sunday Snapshot… (Wk1) GOD WANTS YOU HAPPY (Mat Balgaard)
God’s Highest Priority for us isn’t HAPPINESS… it’s actually WHOLENESS! (And…) THAT’S only found in what JESUS PROVIDED at the CROSS!
Don’t pursue HAPPINESS… pursue JESUS! That’s where you’ll find LASTING HAPPINESS!
God doesn't want you HAPPY when it causes you to do something SINFUL… because that type of HAPPINESS is always at the EXPENSE of YOU and OTHERS!
God wants you MORE than HAPPY… He wants you BLESSED!
People who Follow Jesus should be the HAPPIEST People on Earth… our lives
should be marked with LOVE/JOY and PEACE!
Psalm 97:12… May ALL who are GODLY be HAPPY in the LORD and PRAISE HIS HOLY NAME!
