BIG IDEA for this week… A primary struggle of the CHURCH historically has been - that it’s always much easier to make a POINT than it is to make a DIFFERENCE!
Always Remember… In order to change the Culture as a Church - sometimes you have to sacrifice making a POINT so you can make a DIFFERENCE!
The Early Church constantly leaned relationally in the direction of those they disagreed with most!
The Early Church was constantly at odds with those they agreed with the most theologically!
The Early Church was never concerned with guilt by association!
The Early Church REFUSED to be dragged into debates that distracted them from the Primary Issues!
The Early Church didn’t judge Outsiders for behaving like Outsiders!
The Early Church had its greatest influence when it policed its own behavior… NOT EVERYONE ELSE’S!
