The Book of Job… (6) IT’S NOT ABOUT ME!
CELEBRATORS… Job 42:12a says something rather fascinating… The Lord BLESSED the LATTER PART of Job’s life more than the FIRST… Not sure about you Celebrators – but I WANT THAT… I WANT THAT FOR ME and I WANT THAT FOR YOU! And I’m pretty sure since God did that for JOB – that He wants to do the same for YOU… BLESS YOU TOO! Each week of this series we’re looking closely at the RESPONSES of JOB when ‘all hell broke loose in his life’ – to see how JOB RESPONDED to receive such a BLESSING in his LATER LIFE! This particular week we’re talking about understanding that many of the BLESSINGS from God we receive from God come as a direct result from realizing… IT'S NOT ABOUT ME! Job 38-40… God says… “Brace yourself like a man...”
Job wondered... 'Why's this happening to ME?'
God Speaks... “IT'S NOT ABOUT YOU... IT'S ALL ABOUT ME!”
Wanna be BLESSED? Then stop focusing on the SIZE of your PROBLEM and start focusing on the SIZE of your GOD!
Job 38-40… We have a GOD that's BIGGER than our PROBLEMS... He's BIGGER than ANYTHING going on in your life! (BELIEVE IT!)
Do you view the CHURCH more as a RESTAURANT (A Place to BE SERVED) or as a FAMILY (A Place TO SERVE)...?
If you don't have TIME to dedicate to what JESUS dedicated HIS TIME to (The Church)… YOU'RE TOO BUSY!
Ck-Out John 17:15 Today… JESUS didn’t call us to RETRACT ourselves FROM the COMMUNITY… He called us to IMPACT those IN our COMMUNITY!
